Normal
18.5 - 24.9
Your BMI indicates that you fall within the ‘normal’ weight category for your height. To maintain this, we recommend the Optislim Balanced program.
Overweight
25 - 29.9
Your BMI indicates you are over the recommended weight for your height and are suited to the Rapid stage of the Optislim program.
Obese
Over 30.0
Your BMI indicates you are over the recommended weight for your height and are suited to the Accelerated stage of the Optislim program.

*A BMI of 18.5 to 25 may indicate optimal weight. A BMI of less than 18.5 suggests the person is underweight while a number above 25 may indicate the person is over weight. A BMI below 17.5 may indicate the person suffers from anorexia (eating disorder). A BMI above 30 suggests the person is obese. BMI figures above 40 indicate morbidly obese conditions.

While using the BMI Calculator, be aware the BMI value for a given height is directly proportionate to the weight, so if weight increases by 30% so to will the BMI.

In calculating BMI it is important to remember that calculations may over estimate body fat in athletes and other who have a muscular build as muscle weighs more than body fat. Further BMI for older people my be underestimated as they generally have a lesser weight of muscle on their bodies.
